Wyatt/Jeffries Woods Mammal and Bird Survey

Wyatt/Jefferies Woods is a 100-acre mature woodland, located in Green County Kentucky.  This site was purchased by Green County Fiscal Court with money from the Kentucky Heritage Land Fund.  Most of the inventory of this site has been completed.  Professor Tungate has worked on the flora of this site with Dr. Julian Campbell over the last year or so and could use help in preparing plant specimens.  Dr. Kessler will be working with Chris Mason, a biologist from the Kentucky Department o Fish and Wildlife to inventory birds.   Dr. Weddle will be working with Belinda Smith (a CU graduate, and Forest Ranger with the Kentucky Division of Forestry) to inventory the mammals at this site.  If you have any interest in this work contact any of the above faculty.  Funding is available for this project.  See Dr. Kessler for details about this funding.
Species lists for this project will be posted here.
